Description

The original Jacobs Ladder — commercial-grade, self-powered, low-impact cardio.

The JL is the machine that put Jacobs Ladder on the map. Since the mid-90s it’s been a mainstay in commercial fitness centers, police and fire training, YMCAs, and serious home gyms — for one simple reason: it’s a self-powered, full-body climbing motion at any pace, with zero impact on knees and ankles.

You set the speed. The ladder follows. Step off and it stops. No plug, no battery, no electronics to break.

Key Features

  • Self-powered — no AC outlet, no batteries, infinite operation.
  • Continuous ladder climbing motion — arms and legs simultaneously.
  • Low-impact on joints — safer than treadmill or stair climber for many users.
  • User sets pace; ladder responds instantly.
  • Commercial-grade frame, built for facility-level use.
  • Since July 2022, manufactured under Core Health & Fitness — typical lead time 2–3 weeks.

Best For

  • Commercial gyms, performance training, rehab clinics.
  • Police, fire, and military training programs.
  • Serious home gyms wanting one machine that covers cardio + posterior-chain work.

Manufacturer Warranty

Core Health & Fitness publishes the following limited warranty for the Jacobs Ladder JL in the United States and Canada:

  • Consumer (home occupants only): 10 years on the frame (excluding coatings), 10 years on other parts, and 3 years on labor.
  • Light commercial (non-dues-paying facility, under 8 hours per day): 10 years on the frame (excluding coatings), 3 years on other parts, and 3 years on labor.
  • Commercial (dues-paying facility and/or above 8 hours per day): 10 years on the frame (excluding coatings), 2 years on other parts, and 1 year on labor.

Coverage is for the original end user, is nontransferable, and requires product registration. Coverage begins at installation; the registered effective date can be no later than one year after Core ships the product. For a non-dues-paying facility used exactly 8 hours per day, confirm the applicable category with Core. Additional manufacturer terms, exclusions, and claim requirements apply. Review the Core Health & Fitness warranty and linked product warranty matrix.
